I didn't tell anyone I wanted to be a screenwriter until I was, well, much older.
But the seed took root while I was a teen watching a John Sayles flick. One of my best days was when I met him and asked about his writing process. His answer was 35 minutes long. It was almost like a tutorial!
Anyway, studied screenwriting with produced screenwriters, am a member of a screenwriting forum and I have had a script solicited by a major agent in La La land. Took the actress' manager six months to say it wasn't right for her. That sucked.
But I am anchored in the belief someone, somewhere will buy my stories for the screen.
I do have something to say. Just navigating the obstacles so I can be heard.
