Web Site: www.imdb.com/name/nm4843538/Biography: Zach is a screenwriter in the Twin Cities. He's also a big fan of movies (of course) and an amatuer Academy Awards historian -- an amatuer since he's not paid to know what he knows.
He's written more than thirty shorts, ranging from 2-3 pages to 30 pages, with a few being independently produced. His first feature film credit (rewriting "Dead Mountain Road") is expected in late 2013/early 2014.
His screenplay "The Throw," about a minor league baseball player's career-making play, won the 2010 Metropolitan State University Short Screenplay Contest. You can find an interview with him discussing that script, the contest, and screenwriting here:

His script "Treading Water," about a young couple struggling to cope in separate ways over the sudden death of their infant son, won the 2011 Metropolitan State University Short Screenplay Contest and was a semi-finalist in the 2011 BlueCat Fellini Screenplay Competition and a quarter-finalist in 15th Annual Fade In Awards. The script has been optioned and produced and is currently making the festival circuit.
In March 2012 he became the first three-time winner of the Metropolitan State University Short Screenplay Contest with his script "In the Arms of Denial."
He is always working on numerous feature screenplays in various stages of the writing process with a handful of shorts always in the mix.
When not writing scripts, reading scripts, shooting movies, watching movies, reading about movies, or writing about movies, Zach attends school and takes care of his sons, 3-year-old Evan and 2-year-old Noah. And whatever else his wife tells him to do.
