2012 Twit-pitch event in 3 hours

Ammar Salmi (Level 5) ~ 4/7/2012 1:56 PM

Hey moviepoets,

It's been a long time. I don't know why I can't find an article about the twit-pitch event that scriptshadow will host. Maybe everyone knows about it, so there was no need for it. But just to make sure everyone is in:
Here is the link that explains the event in details: bit.ly/HojQ25
And here is a countdown: bit.ly/HSUghU
And here is the arena: bit.ly/HvOwvI

Good luck everyone, and may the odds be in your favor.

I'm in for this one. If nothing else it will be interesting reading the tsunami of logline tweets Mr. Reeves will be receiving.

Reginald McGhee (Level 0) ~ 4/7/2012 4:39 PM

Do we have to tweet a pitch?

Khamanna Iskandarova (Level 5) ~ 4/7/2012 5:30 PM

Thanks Ammar. Yes, Reginald, you twit your pitch in 134 character or less then leave a space and add #tp12. That's it.

Reginald McGhee (Level 0) ~ 4/7/2012 5:34 PM

I think I started before the pitch started. I wasn't sure if the countdown means it has ended or started. Then, the countdown begun from one to two to three and so on. So I'm not sure if it begun or ended.

I tweeted my logline for Specimen and so far it's on Carson's "favorites" list. From there I believe the script shadow readers help him whittle the list down to 5-10 loglines.

Philip Whitcroft (Level 5) ~ 4/8/2012 9:47 PM

Tim, Congratulations on getting selected. I think you're misreading the instructions on this. As I understand it the 5-10 are extra loglines being added to the list that you are already on. I think you are now expected to submit your first ten pages. Take another look at the instructions because there is some detail in there on how you are expected to submit the pages. Good luck.

Thanks Philip. I'm still confused about exactly what happens next. From my understanding the 74 that Carson's already picked are made to an even 100, the rest picked by the readers. These are then officially announced in a day or so and he's supposed to email about it. Either way I guess I should work on those 10 pages.

The official 100 list is out:

I'm number 43!
